I can’t remember how I heard of them. It doesn’t really matter that much. I learned to accept the gifts from the universe without wasting energy analysing them. Living in the flow has been gifting me an abundance of magic. Little by little, I learnt to relax into trust, surrender and gratitude. Being a “Facilitator in Residence” at Kalikalos Community in Greece was one of those precious gifts.
No two days were the same. Some days started with an early morning swim (my favorite). Some with gentle stretching and Yoga. Other days I would roll out of bed into the morning meeting. Some days I ate breakfast, often not (my stomach doesn’t wake up too early).
Our morning meetings started with grounding and check in’s. Then the daily tasks were discussed and assigned. We cooked, cleaned, danced, laughed, cried, moved and sang together. The rhythm is relaxed and the atmosphere is jovial and communal. When I got sick, the whole team came to the rescue; helping, comforting and taking over my tasks for the day. I felt nurtured, seen and held in love. The outpouring of love and care for one another opened my heart and I wanted to give back as much as I could. Bellydance classes, “From Triggers 2 Teachers” workshop, “Big Talk Game” nights, grief ceremony, Tantra Massages and more came pouring out of my heart and were received with gratitude and appreciation. People came and went, often for pre-planned workshops. Even though our time together was brief, the connection and impact were profound. It was heartwarming to see total strangers open up as they relax into authenticity, love and trust. Like flowers blooming in the spring. We all arrived strangers and left friends.
Stunnigly beautiful Nature, communal living, cats, fresh fruit and vegetables from our garden, co-creating, daily beach visits, trips to neighboring villages and a whole lot of love are some of the magic ingredients in this heart opening paradise in the Pelion mountain region of Greece.
