Frankincense tree. شجر اللبان.
They make cuts in the main trunk. Collect the oozing sap (frankincense). Cut again in the exact same place, collect again. The third time gives the best quality product. There are 4 types of frankincense. It’s used for medicinal as well as ornamental purposes. The tree has to be at least 3 years old and may be harvested until it’s 20 years old. New trees are grown by planting a small branch from an existing tree.
